Angel Lust at Henri Bendel,The Trendy Tresses Show

This past week I had the privilege of showing and selling my hair wear collection at Henri Bendel once again at the front of the store in the atrium. This show was a rather big deal for a company as small as Angel Lust to be featured in,alongside other newbies Basha Shaindy and the already established such as Jennifer Behr.




Being able to participate in an event that included celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves who was consulting women all day in the front window as he was launching his new hair care line that I highly recommend to anyone looking to spice up their lock life.


A very special thanks to all the staff in store and at corporate who've helped make all this possible for me and dote on me when I get all flustered and of course my publicist and sales rep Mylan Bui and Jowita Kurowskie. I look forward to doing all this during the holidays with all of you.

A couple of my friends at work with Karen O

A few pals of mine Russelle Simmins (of the John Spencer Blues Explosion),Sammy James Jr. (from the Mooney Suzuki) and on violin,the lovely Gillian Rivers from The Pierces play alongside Karen O of The Yeah Yeah Yeah's ath Union Pool. Karen O is a total inspiration from my home ground in NJ...She's half Korean and half Polish and has style to kill thanks to the help of her BFF Christian Joy who custom designs for Karen on a regular basis.

When I get done with my HENRI BENDEL 6 day trunk show I am heading straight for the beach for some much needed rest. One day I want to design swim wear along with all the other things. During one of my Henri Bendel shows I perused the girly fashionista/beautista book store at the top and I came across this book "Celebutantes" written by Amanda Goldberg and Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper (Dennis's daughter). The book sound hillariouse in a rich b*tch sorta way,with a ton of one liners.

Spray-on Sickness: Primarily plagues celebrities during Awards season, rendering them a radioactive Day-Glo orange instead of the intended natural golden-brown, sun-kissed shade.

They made all these awsome little commercials of each character on youtube to promote the book. Here is my favorite.

A day in the life of Kristen May

Dear Diary,
My House has turned into a head band making factory. So I felt the need to work in my studio Sympathy For The Kettle...The rent is decent one iced chocolate rose chai is $6, and a lavender lemonade is $4. those are my monthly dues approximately 50 dollars a week's rent. One day I will have a real studio....


I finished up and checked my email at home and surprise Mylan Bui my prodigy/publicist sent me note that Katy Perry would like to wear a few Angel Lust head candy. Agyness Deyn should be wearing Angel Lust I thought. So it's a good thing I ran into her later on.

Later on my friend's Reno Bo and Marc Philippe Eskenazi where playing for Albert Hammond Jr. at the Virgin Mega-store before they leave for Australia and Japan. I think I was probably the oldest person in the audience which consisted of teenagers,Agyness,and Casey a cool chick I helped get in she works at Teen Vogue and loved my headbands.

The first scandalouse NC17 movie!!!

This controvercial film in the 70's was banned in certain countries. It is still considered an indie film with power full lust and passionate moments that are too strong to ignore when it comes to chemical attraction.





"Last Tango in Paris" starring the unconventional beauty Maria Schneider who at the age of 18 took the sexed up role of a young girl who gets heavily involved in sexual affair with a much older well seasoned male Marlon Brando. One of my favorites with the allure of vintage clothing set in the 60's in the heart of Paris around the block from where I lived in Passy. Maria Schneider is a potential muse for Angel Lust in my future endeavors. Hear alluring style was romantic and now vintage nostalgic I lust for these moments now single. Unfortunately years later she suffered from addiction with heroine. But this movie is decadent, sexually thrilling, a sensual fracture fairy tale. And an inspiration what feeds a relationship and what make them go wrong.

Here is my new found inspiration on this idea. All images below provided by the talented James Van Alden Photography...



Jame's Van Alden really captured the modern day visions of haunting beautiful ideas of "Last Tango in Paris" whether that was intent or not I don't know. But they are romantic and hauntingly beautiful.

I really wish I had cash to throw around at Geminola, the gorgeous garments constructed of vintage fabric pre 1950's. They are nothing beyond original works of art with girly charm. I would wear each one to tea every day. They really make an awsome tutu!!!They are very expensive so save your lunch money taxi fare and rent money to own one. I know I am very capable of making this stuff but its just not the same as buying one from the designer herself. Every designer does have their own personal touch with garments like these. Of course my fave girls shop there.
