A little History:

Built to house sheep in 1870, the building now known as Tavern on the Green became a restaurant in 1934. Forty years later, Warner LeRoy, who had revolutionized the American dining scene with his legendary Maxwell's Plum, took over the restaurant’s lease and embarked upon a two-year, $10 million renovation.

Tavern on the Green reopened in 1976 as one of the world’s most spectacular restaurants, immediately embraced by New York’s glitterati. Now, under the direction of LeRoy’s daughter, Jennifer, who took over upon his death in 2001, it is the second highest-grossing independently owned restaurant in the United States with annual revenues in excess of $37 million; serving nearly 700,000 diners a year.

Sophia Casanova and Stella Jenna are two young beauties who could've been screen godesses like that of Sophia Loren. They've recently left the LES of NYC to drive cross country to pursue a California dream extraordinaire...So they've packed up their cats and fled west.They say New York is where you come to make dreams and LA is where dreams are broken. Sophia and Jenna just are a constant dream in motion and understand life is a journey not a destination. They are the essence of glamorous screen gems mixed with a taste for that reminiscent groupie lifestyle when it comes to their travels and fashion. They are "Almost Famous" off the movie screen and on the road. Let me share a look into their magical life from the past couple weeks.

The One Dress

Philanthropist designer Malcolm Harris has crossed fashion boundaries and made history today with the release of The One Dress!!! Chloe Sevigny,Angelina Jolie and fashion forward first lady Michelle Obama have already hopped the fashion band wagon ordering The One Dress in a color or three...






The One Dress is chic high fashion jersey draped gown that can be tied or draped into several different dresses. It is a beautiful and comfortable cocktail number,a casual classy item or a chic party dress for woman of all shapes and sizes!!! Not only does this dress define the green movement by compacting one's wardrobe for a week into one item that can manifest into several more,but it doesn't discriminate to a specific shape or size. This gown loves all woman!!!



Some of the proceeds go to the UN's refugee effort.Now that is indeed in good taste and in good fashion!!!

Something old something new and nothing goes to waste

I have my hand in so many designer/artist projects currently. First there is my solo company of Hair Accessories aka ANGEL LUST,which I am currently building a web store for by the lovely Mathew Noren my tea time buddy.

Then there is Angel Swan which is my line of accessories I design with Caycee Black. We use the scraps of fabric from production (nothing goes to waste) and we make beautiful head pieces that match and finnish her collection off to a T!!! Caycee is on the rise,she is def one of my best designer friends. Caycee is a dreamy southern gal packaged in sleek girlish style. We graduated Parson's together and plan to go places together on our fashion journey through time. This summer Caycee will be touring the US at the stores she has picked up,cupcakes and cocktails will be served to the best in house customers as they can shop and preview her collection first hand.

This coming Fashion Week the lovely Jennifer Fein and I are musing together to create a fashion flower seed that will grow into a big beautiful long lasting fleur. What you ask am I talking about? We are working hard in our lofty studio and draping random vintage pieces on the dress form to create new ideas. We are taking Victorian collars and turning them into yokes,as well as taking skirt slips and making them into full length dresses while adding a vintage bra. We are draping over corsets and tutus to form something that is not so lingerie looking. We are inspired by the essence of femininity and all things ballet fairytale,Its safe to say there may even be a slight touch of Rock n Roll. Our fashion baby is Dark and Romantic in the same time.

So once again me and my designer gal pals are planning a designer party exhibition part deux! The goal is to rework romantic vintage pieces into something new and innovative. This project is inspired by the works of the lovely Leah Michelle who lent us her garment from her senior thesis for the Angel Lust Cupcakes and Bows trunk show!!! This is a cooperative effort that will most definitely lead to something greater such as a company. Our first collection will serve as the root of what is to come...The pieces will be available to purchase at a very pretty penny. We will keep what does not sell in our archive for future design inspiration...




Right now we are hard at work in our studio located near the Hudson River which we love with a passion.

The Roaring Twenties

The roaring twenties are one of my favorite decade. Those days where filled with glamour and the decadence back then was entirely controlled it seems in comparison to today. Ah the good old days when people had to communicate with each other,technology was not quite in the way of communication. We used to need our hearts as opposed to a computer screen. Woman needed dresses,hot tasseled swinging pieces to wear out during the prohibition!!! Sex was in the air breathing heavily through the night time in the city...At least in my mind.


One day my design partner Jennifer Fein and I will build our archive so huge it will stretch from her loft/our studio in Jersey City all the way across the Hudson River to NYC,it will be filled with 1920's vintage from floor to ceiling!!!



I daydream about the source of entertainment and costumes that time had to offer at the night clubs back then...

I picture tap shoes and this tutu romper on a showgirl at a midnight cabaret...

My dream house part 1

One day I will have lots of money due to my hard work and embracing my creativity. I will have so much I will be able to afford my dream house and decorate it like this...

My kitchen will have:



I will make gourmet ice cream regularly,champagne cupcakes and rose petal smoothies and strawberry butter served over toast. I will entertain like a Stepford wife!!!

My Weekend So Far,it started on Thursday

My publicist Erin Ryder spotted this a couple of days ago. Apparently The new Fame Game home page decided to use one of my photographs from my IloveShop.com trunk show party. Erin is a fantastic PR girl,she is perfect for young designers like me to hire for freelance work or on a more permanent basis. I've probably known her since I was nine so its fair for me to say she is all that and more!!!


This is Deanna Mara Nolesco she used to assist in PR work for me a little more than a year ago.





So the other night Catherine Pierce debuted her paintings at the Cameo Gallery which is located in the back of The Loving Cup Cafe. Wine was available as was The Pierce's singing along in harmony with "The Morning Pages",later on that night Paige Wood played an acoustic set.

I suppose it was 3 seasons ago when Alice and Olivia staged a show in their store and Paige Wood modeled for them,any how I found this accidentally on line take a look at vintage Paige LOL.
